Presence of dust in the fluid – Fabric Expantion Joint
Dust deposits in the cavity between the multilayer fabric expansion joint and sleeve must be avoided, especially in the low parts of the horizontal ducts:
- Heavy dust deposits tend to tear an expansion joint
- They transmit the internal temperature to the expansion joint by conduction, with possible rapid damage.
- They prevent thermal exchange
- They reduce the capacity of an expansion joint to perform the movements for which it was designed.
